I have been with Equal for about two years now and I have never looked back. Equal is not just an employer, it’s a family. Everyone looks after everyone as a unit – no one is left unsupported. Even during the pandemic, Equal actively communicated with me to ask if I was doing ok. They really do care about each and every individual. Also, Equal was the only agency that approached me during the pandemic with CPD opportunities. The personal contact aspect is what makes Equal unique. Whenever someone asks me which teaching agency to work with the only one I will recommend is Equal.Mark Geography Teacher
The online meetings Equal has organised since the first lockdown have been the silver lining of the whole, grim, Covid situation. These get-togethers act as the staff room we don’t have as supply teachers, because, unless we are in a school long-term, one seldom meets people in a sustained way, even when one returns to the same place fairly frequently. Perhaps there will be a way to continue these meetings even after the world has returned to ‘normal?’. With them, you have really created ‘Team Equal’.Catherine English Teacher
Depending on your goals we’ll introduce you to well-suited temporary, long-term and/or permanent positions. We’ll pay you well, help you explore various schools and/or colleges, support you to identify your strengths and enable you to build important relationships within the education sector.
Over 100 schools & colleges come to Equal Talent Partners to recruit teaching & learning support staff. We are recommended to all schools & colleges in Wales by the Welsh Government’s and National Procurement Service (NPS)’s education recruitment framework, so you’ll have access to hundreds of schools & colleges through us. We’re also on the Department for Education (DfE)’s education recruitment framework in England.
In addition to providing work, through our Academy we’ll offer you an extensive range of Professional Learning opportunities to ensure your continued professional development. For NQTs, career changers, those relocating and those returning to teaching, we provide tailored coaching & mentoring. For everyone, we deliver impactful courses to ensure that you’re always at the top of your game!

We pride ourselves on being an ethical employer. We offer the highest rates of pay in the sector. All teachers are paid a minimum of £27,491.74 per annum (£141.71 per day) from their first day of working with Equal. Teachers in long term positions are paid in excess of this and in line with their position on the main pay scale. Our Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) are paid in line with directly employed school LSAs and at least at the Living Wage Foundation’s National Living Wage.
You will be paid monthly via Pay As You Earn (PAYE) directly by Equal through a BACS transfer. All pay for work up to and including the last Friday of the month is paid by the last day of the month.
No. We are committed to ensuring that what we pay you is yours (subject to tax, employees’ national insurance and other statutory deductions). We do not engage any umbrella companies to administer pay on our behalf, saving you costly umbrella fees. Whereas umbrella companies deduct employer’s national insurance contributions and employer’s pension contributions from staff members, we pay these for all staff working with Equal.
