We pride ourselves on being an ethical employer. We offer the highest rates of pay in the sector. All teachers are paid a minimum of £29,602.95 per annum (£151.81 per day) from their first day of working with Equal. Teachers in long term positions are paid in excess of this and in line with their position on the main pay scale. Our Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) are paid in line with directly employed school LSAs and at least at the Living Wage Foundation’s National Living Wage.

You will be paid monthly or weekly via Pay As You Earn (PAYE) directly by Equal through a BACS transfer. All pay for work up to and including the last Friday of the month is paid by the last day of the month. If you opt to be paid weekly, your pay will be processed every Friday for the previous week’s work.

No. We are committed to ensuring that what we pay you is yours (subject to tax, employees’ national insurance and other statutory deductions). We do not engage any umbrella companies to administer pay on our behalf, saving you costly umbrella fees. Whereas umbrella companies deduct employer’s national insurance contributions and employer’s pension contributions from staff members, we pay these for all staff working with Equal.
