Welsh Government & National Procurement Service (NPS) framework for education recruitment
Equal is recommended by the new Welsh Government & NPS framework agreement for supply staffing in Wales across all 22 local authorities. We are committed to paying the new increased minimum pay rate of £138.56 per day (PAYE paid monthly) for supply teachers. This is essential and in line with the Welsh Government’s fair pay policy for supply teachers. We are aware that a high number of framework (and non-framework) providers are unwilling to commit to the new minimum pay rates. We are liaising closely with our schools, the NPS, Welsh Government, local authorities and schools to promote this to ensure it’s effective and fully implemented.
