Liam leads with a passion for maximising the transformative potential of education. Steering the Senior Leadership Team, Liam is responsible for guiding our strategic direction, managing internal hiring, nurturing the brand, and exploring new commercial opportunities. In doing so, Liam collaborates with all teams from Education Recruitment and Teaching & Learning to HE & STEM Partnerships, Marketing & Digital, and Finance & HR.
Alongside leading Equal, Liam is a Knight-Hennessy Scholar at Stanford University, where he’s pursuing an MBA and an MA in Education while also a Graduate Fellow at Stanford’s Institute for Human-Centered Artificial Intelligence (HAI).
Guided by a commitment to improve the education sector, Liam has worked extensively with the Welsh Government and other partners to address key challenges in the education sector, including driving talent attraction & retention, reducing educational disparities, widening higher education access, and enhancing STEM education.
Voluntarily, Liam offers his insights as a member of the Recruitment & Employment Confederation (REC) and through Yale’s Alumni Schools Committee (ASC). Liam also supports the US-UK Fulbright Commission as an external reader. His dedication to enhancing access to world class education was recognized with a St Davids Award in 2019.
Prior to leading Equal, Liam worked in Investment Management at BW Group and Goldman Sachs in Singapore, Hong Kong, and Norway. He earned his undergraduate degree with a distinction in Politics, Philosophy & Economics (PPE) from Yale-NUS College and Yale University.
On a personal note, Liam is a tennis enthusiast and enjoys time with his golden labrador-retriever and Equal’s Head of Wellbeing, Telyn Aur.
Carolyn founded Equal in 2011 alongside her son, Liam. She has overseen the growth of our education and training teams as well as developing new initiatives for the company. Carolyn’s main focus is on enabling schools to attract, retain and develop excellent education professionals.
Carolyn is a firm believer in ethical employment and ensures that all our team members feel respected, valued and supported, which is something we’re passionate about at Equal.
After completing a BA in European Languages and Institutions at Leeds University. She went on to become an experienced teacher of Spanish and French. Carolyn draws on her experience and knowledge to coordinate, produce and deliver professional learning opportunities. Helping our teaching and classroom teams in collaboration with school improvement bodies, the Welsh Government and the Education Workforce Council.
Carolyn completed a BA in European Languages and Institutions (Spanish, French and Politics) at Leeds University and a PGCE (MFL) at Swansea University. In 2018, Carolyn completed the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses programme delivered by Said Business School at the University of Oxford in collaboration with Goldman Sachs.
When ‘school is out!’, Carolyn spends her time with her sons, three dogs and her ‘diva’ cat. We’re all multilingual!
Mallorca is Carolyn’s favourite holiday destination. And her favourite saying is ‘hay que desplegar las alas y volar!’, meaning ‘you must spread your wings and fly!’.

Owen is Equal’s Managing Director. He works closely with various organisations, including the Welsh Government, universities, schools, colleges and Seren network partners, across Wales and beyond.
Owen joined Equal after two and a half years as CEO of a prominent Welsh children’s charity, where he oversaw an extensive change programme. Prior to that, he worked for a large education and training organisation in numerous leadership roles.
A qualified teacher (secondary Maths), Owen is passionate about the life changing opportunities which can be accessed through education and is particularly interested in expanding opportunities to under-represented groups.
Outside his role at Equal, Owen is a Trustee at TACT, the UK’s largest fostering charity, and sits on the Wales Advisory Committee for Barnardo’s. A proud Welsh speaker, his interests include most types of sport and enjoying live music.
With over two decades of dedicated experience in the field of recruitment, Huw stands as a seasoned expert, specialising predominantly in education. As a trusted professional, he has nurtured enduring relationships with schools and educators not only across the United Kingdom but also on the international stage. His journey in the recruitment world began after initially qualifying as a Physical Education teacher, which provided him with a unique insight into the needs of educational institutions.
In the last three years, Huw has expanded his portfolio by delving into the realm of educational wellbeing software solutions, providing invaluable support to institutions seeking to enhance the holistic development of their students and staff.
Outside of the professional realm, Huw finds joy and inspiration in his personal life. A devoted family person, he is the proud spouse of a dedicated teacher and a loving parent to two wonderful sons, Harrison and Ollie, aged 11 and 8, respectively.
When not immersed in the world of recruitment, you’ll find Huw exuding passion for sports, particularly fervent in his support for Liverpool FC and Llandovery RFC. His enthusiasm doesn’t stop there; he wholeheartedly supports anything representing Wales on the global stage.
And, to fuel his boundless energy, Huw has a profound love for coffee, with Espresso, Black Americano and Flat White being his brews of choice.

Sian is a Senior Recruitment Consultant at Equal Education Partners working with our clients across South West and South East Wales. As a fluent Welsh speaker her role involves recruiting high-quality teaching, learning support and administrative staff for long term contract, permanent and day to day supply positions for both Welsh and English medium schools.
Sian has over 10 years of experience in the education recruitment sector and works with primary, secondary, additional learning needs (ALN) schools, pupil referral units (PRU’s) and Further Education (FE) Colleges. She prides herself on her approachable and friendly personality and on delivering high levels of service. During her time with Equal Education Partners, she has forged very strong relationships with both educators and partner schools. Prior to her recruitment career, Sian worked in marketing and event management where she honed her excellent project and account management skills.
Outside of work, Sian enjoys swimming, yoga and long forest and coastal walks. She loves spending time with friends and family and loves cooking and trying out new recipes. She is also a qualified coach and is very interested in wellbeing and alternative therapies.
As a Recruitment Consultant Georgia is responsible supporting primary and secondary schools across south and west Wales and delivering an excellent service. This involves recruiting teachers and teaching assistants for a variety of settings.
Georgia has experience working within the education sector. For her work experience, she worked in Ynystawe primary school where she shadowed a teacher and helped with lesson preparations. She is also experienced in the recruitment sector, she worked in Admiral and prior to that was a Crew Trainer at Mcdonald’s where she was responsible for scheduling interviews with potential new employees and well as the training of new staff members.
When she is not working, Georgia loves spending time with friends and family. Her hobbies include baking, going on nice walks and drinking iced coffee. Her favourite time of the year is Christmas when her house turns into a Christmas grotto full of decorations.
Eluned carries out financial management and administration to ensure the company runs successfully. She supports the recruitment supply team with candidate engagement and compliance. She also supports relationships with schools in West Wales.
Eluned went to Coleg Sir Gar, where she studied Business Management. Eluned previously worked for 30 years in finance at Ysgol Dyffryn Teifi, a school in South West Wales. She became finance manager and then Business Manager before moving on to Equal Education Partners.
Eluned is a grandmother of eight adored grandchildren. She enjoys catering, voluntary work, and sports and would love to travel.
Rebecca (or Becca) is Senior Project Manager for our International Partnerships. She leads on the delivery of the MISTI Global Teaching Labs initiative and supports the delivery of Welsh Government’s Seren Network’s national programme. This includes coordinating with all schools & colleges, student instructors and university partners and maintaining all safer recruitment procedures. Rebecca is passionate about bilingualism and embedding Welsh cultural experiences in our programmes, as well as our daily office life.
Rebecca studied French and Spanish (through the medium of Welsh) as an undergraduate at Swansea University, where she earned a First Class degree, and went on to gain a Distinction in her MA in Translation and Interpreting. Whilst studying, Rebecca spent a year teaching in the south of Spain, where she had the chance to spend a night camping in the Sahara Desert.
Rebecca recently discovered a newfound love for cold water swimming, she is an expert on a Stand Up Paddle-board (SUP), and isn’t so bad at ‘Dobble’ either!
Lois is our Higher Education and International Partnerships Project Manager. She is responsible for running programmes in partnership with the Welsh Government and academic institutions worldwide.
Lois grew up in Gwynedd but went on to study French as an undergraduate and postgraduate at the University of Oxford, gaining a Distinction in her Masters in Modern Languages. She spent a year abroad teaching English at two schools in Brittany. She considers it to have been the best year of her life (so far). During her time at Oxford, Lois became active in the field of access, outreach and widening participation through volunteering with various access groups and committees in the university. alongside working closely with Seren on various projects, including the Seren International Online Summer School.
Outside the education sphere, Lois has a keen interest in theatre, and she especially has a soft spot for 17th century French theatre. However, not living in 17th century France makes keeping up with this hobby a little tricky. So, she also enjoys 21st century things like literature and going to gigs.
As a Project Manager, Lauren works collaboratively across existing and developing projects within the HE, STEM and International Partnerships divisions at Equal. These projects include the MIT Global Teaching Labs GTL in Wales Programme, Welsh Government Seren Network’s National initiatives, and has been an active participant on the Innovations in Education Today delivered via MIT.
Lauren is an experienced Creative Arts and STEM lecturer with a background teaching in further, higher and independent educational settings, including international academic summer schools in London and across South Wales. Lauren has over 13 years of teaching experience delivering community-based workshops, curriculum development and delivery at GCSE, A Level and Undergraduate levels within established design and engineering departments. Most recently supporting engineering degree students with specialised design-tech projects and dissertation proposals. With a BA (Hons) degree in Contemporary Design, a PGCE in further and higher education from Cardiff and Postgraduate Professional Development from Goldsmiths University of London, Lauren has continued to develop personal research and exploration of learning practice within social and cultural contexts through the arts and emerging technologies.
Away from work, Lauren enjoys the great outdoors and is usually out exploring with her two rescue dogs and getting back into running half and full marathons after a two-year break. With 4 international marathons under her belt, sights are still on London, even after 13 unsuccessful attempts – fingers crossed for ballot attempt no.14!
As Higher Education Assistant Project Manager, Tobias works primarily on enabling the delivery of the Seren Academy programme in partnership with the Welsh Government and local authorities, and oversees the operation and data management of the associated online platform ‘Seren Space’.
Tobias grew up in Cardiff, attending Corpus Christi High School and St David’s Sixth Form College before going on to complete both his undergraduate and postgraduate degrees at Cardiff University. First, studying Human Geography, developing an interest in political language and the social and cultural impacts of policy-making on small communities, before later gaining a distinction in his Masters in Political Communication at Cardiff’s School of Journalism, Media and Culture.
Alongside his studies, Tobias spent two years teaching guitar to students of all ages, both as a private tutor and voluntarily, before taking on a role at Adult Learning Wales on the AMIF Project – an EU fund designed to help refugees integrate into Welsh life through the delivery of various courses and cultural trips. Tobias worked on the AMIF Project for three years before joining Equal in October 2023.
Away from work, Tobias is an active musician with a love of cinema and photography, which all contribute to an unhealthy obsession with physical media. He is also a devoted follower of Welsh football and has recently taken up hot yoga.
As the Higher Education Partnerships Assistant at Equal Education Partners, Charlotte oversees mentor compliance and supports the delivery of the Seren Mentoring Programme.
Charlotte graduated with a degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Oxford. After graduating, she worked for an Oxford-based charity to improve academic attainment and opportunities in local Oxford schools, working closely with several Oxford University colleges. She then decided to move to northwest Spain to teach English in a secondary school, gaining valuable insights into diverse educational environments. More recently, she thoroughly enjoyed contributing to the Seren International Online Summer School as an Instructor, and chaperoning the Aberystwyth University Residential Summer School.
Outside of work, Charlotte is a keen surfer. She loves adventuring, hiking, running and swimming. After a long day, she enjoys crocheting, and has recently taken up sewing!
As the Project Coordinator Lead for tutoring, Stuart leads on working with schools and colleges to design and deliver bespoke tutoring packages. His role includes collaborating with partner organisations, working with our dynamic network of tutors and managing the day-to-day running of the tutoring delivery. Stuart is passionate about delivering high quality inventions and ensuring that students access support that is specific to their requirements.
Stuart is an experienced tutor who has taught a range of learners from Key Stage Three to postgraduate students. Before joining us, Stuart obtained his BA (Hons) in History and MA in Modern History from Swansea University. As someone who loves expanding his knowledge, Stuart recently finished his History PhD at Swansea University. His research explored Wales and the League of Nations, c.1918-1945.
When he isn’t working and researching, he loves running and cycling and, once finished, enjoying a good book!
Amy is an Adult Learning Manager for the Maths for Adults Wales programme at Equal. She is responsible for planning our adult numeracy programmes in partnership with local authorities to engage and support adult learners in the development of their numeracy skills.
Amy gained her BA in Religious Studies at Bangor University and her PGCE at UWTSD. She is a qualified Secondary School teacher in Religious Education with eight years of experience as a Teacher and Head of Department at an all boys school in Luton. She is passionate about staff development, which led to her becoming a trained facilitator and delivering on the ITT and OTP programmes. During her time teaching, she thoroughly enjoyed mentoring trainee teachers to become outstanding teachers in her subject specialism. This role progressed and she became a Professional Tutor where she was responsible for the management, induction, training, support and monitoring of trainee teachers across the school.
In her spare time Amy is kept busy by her labrador dog, who enjoys lots of long walks in the countryside and swimming in muddy rivers. She also has a love for gardening where she grows her own herbs and vegetables, which are used in her cooking.
As Learning and Development Manager Owen is responsible for developing and delivering CPD courses for our supply staff. He also creates and delivers content for the Maths for Adults Wales programme where Equal provide free Maths courses to a wide variety of adults across Wales.
An experienced Chemistry and Physics Teacher having taught for 12 years, during his time in the classroom, he taught from KS3 through to A-level and was part of the national team of teachers who helped develop the Science & Technology area of learning for the new Curriculum for Wales. In 2023 Owen left teaching to pursue a new career, and this led him back to Equal Education Partners after being a supply teacher back in 2011-2013.
When not at work working, Owen enjoys watching football, going to the cinema, or reading a book on the couch.
As the Senior Digital Manager, Liam is responsible for overseeing the digital and social media strategies for multiple brands under the Equal Education Partners umbrella and those of our clients. Co-leading both business development and client relationship management for the marketing division, Liam has over eight years of experience working in the education sector in Wales, with six years specifically in digital marketing.
In previous roles, Liam has been responsible for many education-based projects, including the Welsh Government Teaching Wales campaign, Qualifications Wales campaigns, Aberystwyth University, and in-house at WJEC working specifically on digital marketing campaigns developed to address key challenges and promote the education sector in Wales.
With a degree in BSc Business Management from Cardiff University, Liam’s a first-language Welsh speaker originally from Gwynedd. Away from education, his passions include sport, specifically football, and is a keen follower of the Wales national football team home and away, politics, and all things digital marketing.
Abi comes to Equal Education Partners after just over three years of working in the creative sector of the advertising and marketing industry. She is part of Equal’s marketing team and oversees every aspect of brand and design from brief to execution, ensuring that both the internal company and clients receive high-quality creative. Abi has first-hand experience working with clients in a variety of sectors ranging from education and recruitment to healthcare and charities.
Prior to beginning her undergraduate studies, Abi earned a Certificate in Higher Education in Art & Design with an emphasis on Graphic Design, which sparked her interest in the field. Fast forward to 2020, Abi graduated from the University of Wales Trinity Saint David with a first-class degree in BA Graphic Design, where she discovered her passion for branding and design. Abi is a true creative designer at heart, with a strong passion for brand and typography driven design. Having numerous years of experience in both print and digital fields, she brings a wealth of knowledge and skills to the team at Equal.
In her spare time, Abi loves going on long walks, drinking all types of coffee, attempting to go to the gym and spending time with friends and family. She enjoys going out for food and drinks and would never turn down an invitation to do so!
In his current role as Finance Manager at Equal Education Partners, Yasha serves as a key contributor to the organisation’s financial success. He is responsible for overseeing financial operations, strategic financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting. He’s actively engaged in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and providing insightful financial analysis to support decision-making. As an integral part of the Equal Education team, Yasha plays a pivotal role in managing financial resources to drive the organisation’s mission and objectives.
As a qualified accountant and fellow member of the Association of Accounting Technicians with a robust professional background of over a decade in finance, he has gained extensive experience as a senior manager, working for several public firms of Chartered Accountants. In these roles, he has demonstrated expertise in managing client portfolios for different-sized businesses, providing comprehensive support and advice on business tax planning, structures, and valuations. Throughout his career, he’s demonstrated proficiency in a wide array of accounting software and have a strong command of various aspects of financial management. His experience also extends to roles such as company secretarial, preparing statutory accounts, overseeing payroll, bookkeeping, and VAT compliance.
Outside of professional pursuits, he’s an avid traveller with a passion for exploring diverse cultures and cuisines. Yasha also loves spending time with friends and family.
Natalie is our Business and People Manager at Equal Education Partners. Natalie works alongside the Managing Director & Director dealing with the day-to-day running of the company. She also assists with corporate development. And that’s not it! Natalie supports sourcing new employees for internal and external permanent roles. A true people’s person.
Natalie graduated from Swansea University in 2014 with a degree in law. After graduating, she began her journey to qualifying as a lawyer. And after years of hard work, Natalie qualified in 2018 (life goal: check). However, in 2021 she took a leap of faith to leave life as a lawyer. Now she keeps us in order, phew.
Natalie is a real foodie and never says no to an invite to go out for dinner with her friends. Although, come 9:00pm she will happily retire home to a pot of tea.
As our Head of Wellbeing, Telyn is responsible for putting a smile on everyone’s face.
Fully qualified in: ball chasing, treat eating, zooming (not the digital kind) and sleeping.
